Pet Portrait Commission Process

1. You schedule a consultation by phone or zoom

2. We go over details of size, price, the best size for your space and details of your painting. Oil on canvas. Prices and sizes are: 12"x16"=$350, 16"x20"=$450, 18"x24"=$650. | can also create larger. An additional subject is $350

3. You send me several photos from which to work. The more photos the better and information and stories about personality and likes and dislikes of your pet. All of this figures into capturing the spirit of your pet in my work.

4. You pay 30% deposit and sign artist contract and confirm approximate completion date.

5. I get to work on your painting

6. I contact you when paining is ready.

7. You pay balance.

Custom portraits are very personal and one of my favorite parts of being an artist is getting to know my clients and their beloved animals. For backgrounds I usually use a more abstract style so attention is on your pet. However if you have a more specific background please metion it in the contract. I can also remove harnesses and collars upon request.

My painting style focuses on each pet's unique personality. I strive to capture the spirit. My painting style is influenced by classical art training in Italy, New York and Asheville, NC. I have developed my technique through the years. I go beyond the original photograph.
